About Lake Oswego, Oregon
The City of Lake Oswego is an area located near Portland, but maintains it's own city, fire and school district. Near enough to downtown Portland, but separate and clearly a city in its own rights, Lake Oswego is distinct as being one of the Metro Portland PREMIERE neighborhoods. A very good mix of condo/town home and planned community such as Mountain Park (a nice neighborhood in Lake Oswego), and large estates, Lake Oswego has it all. Even its own lake -- hence Lake Oswego -- where boating, fishing and paddle boats are favorite activities. July 4th fireworks are fantastic and the city puts on a good display each year. Little known fact; Lake Oswego has a sub-division planned by a Tolkien aficionado with such names as Hobbit Ct., Rivendell, Lothlorien Way, Hillshire as actual streets names -- and a gorgeous area it is. Lake Oswego is...Lake Oswego.
